My Conscious Evolution

Where I’ve been and what I’ve learned!

The last 10 years, I’ve been encouraging women to have a conscious connection with life. To be conscious means to be awake and committed to a life path of self-discovery and self-actualization. Spiritual consciousness means we are awake to our true state of being which is spirit. Many wisdom traditions point out that we are not the body.  Our true essence is a higher level of awareness to the potential that resides within each of us.  It’s a spark of the Divine that is endless, loving, and everywhere at once.

Both East and West can be spiritually unified. Many people desire interspiritual and intermystical religious practices and cross-religious sharing of the wisdom inherent in the Gospels, the Nag Hammadi texts, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Upanishads. This knowledge belongs to all humanity and the more we make an effort to appreciate the treasures of each tradition, we find more ways to have direct contact with the Divine presence. I now integrate Eastern teachings into my own Christian programs and writings. Currently the Oneness and Unity communities evolving across the globe are offering deeksha, a healing experience designed to put us in touch with the kingdom within.

We are all Conscious Co-Creators. The Women’s Book of Empowerment and other programs on positive thinking and self-awareness have focused on the power of conscious co-creation. Each individual is an expression of the divine presence who is able to “co-create” or manifest circumstances.  Co-creation is the effort expended to demonstrate new and positive conditions in the external environment.  It requires a mental equivalent of health, prosperity, love, and joy which is the foundation of an outwardly successful life. Also, when we consistently resonate with ideas of peace and what is right and just, we create solutions that make practical sense for everyone. Conscious co-creation is directed effort toward a cause, using mental attitudes that develop a sense of oneness with what is beautiful, sacred, and moral. And, it is helpful to invite the Divine Presence to help us along the way.

Empowerment is a Choice. Since 2000, I’ve helped many women feel more engaged in their lives. An empowered state of being is about harnessing the power of the mind first then living from the heart.  An empowered woman is one who understands this balance and views life as a succession of limitless opportunities. She knows she is unlimited divine substance. She feels worthy, explores her voice, and embraces her authentic self. She’s willing to work toward a personal and planetary evolution while setting personal boundaries. That was the beginning of my vision for The Empowerment Show and The Path to Empowerment project for single, homeless mothers.

The Divine Feminine is an important idea. When The Goddess Network began, we focused on empowering images for females. Today’s female is exercising an empowering authority to gather and renew an appreciation for the divine feminine, or sacred feminine principle, which is the creative impulse and the embodiment of heart energy that is connected to the whole of life.  Women are revitalizing their link to the divine feminine by relinquishing the ego-centered self to the deeper self that is a direct expression of source energy or spirit.  Their calling is to evolve the world to a higher level of conscious awareness through their own unique expressions such as art, language, music, literature, ethics, sustainable business, spiritual leadership, resource allocation, or holistic approaches to healing.  So, we responded to this calling too.  We developed Goddess Soul Cards, Goddess 101, Meditations, and Reading Resources, all guided by a purposeful and mature activism for the feminine spirit.  And I’ve been known to give a lecture or two about uprooting the vestiges of worn-out patriarchal systems that have repressed and demonized women over the years! The best-seller Let Your Goddess Grow! was a result of that research with affirmative thinking woven in, making the message relevant for today’s woman.

Connection is everywhere. Worldwide, women’s networks are forming that highlight the need to replace domination with partnership in order to shift planetary consciousness toward compassion and nurturance of all living things. New communities of thought have emerged from such forums. These webs of connectivity serve as open, visible, and co-creative conversations that produce problem-solving approaches filled with female wisdom that was once vital to a community’s survival. As women become more confident to invite their essence back into their energetic efforts, they not only transform their communities but promote a planetary vision that is critical to the next phase of human evolution. It’s a powerful time for all women! One Heart & Mind is the result of many years of newsletter evolution. Now, we have social networking, such as Facebook, Self Growth and Twitter to connect to as well as a blog reaching thousands every day.

It is possible to practice the abstract and manifest something valuable. In 2008, forty-four women from Evolutionary Women, an organization dedicated to futurist Barbara Marx Hubbard’s model of co-creative leadership, decided to be feminine co-creators. This archetype is currently guiding women toward the next stage of planetary evolution where women’s ideas and values guide humanity. We decided to participate in an individual and collective process to evolve humanity to the next level. We were all spiritually motivated, awake, activated from our heart centers, and empowered by purpose. So, we decided to tell our stories in a book that would inspire others to consciously unfold the creative process and enhance life. Whether that is managing an organization, writing books, designing win-win social systems, or tending to a family, our desire to serve the greater good was animated by the principles of distributed power, cooperation, inclusivity, and love.  The book Conscious Choices was the result. Today, this book contributes to a women’s rebirth on many emotional, spiritual, and psycho-social levels.

Finally, I saw a need in the Veterans returning from the Middle East. Weary with combat fatigue and stress disorders, these men and women are learning to re-integrate life on many levels and find inner peace again. As a Minister of Spiritual Peacemaking, I am bringing blessings to them through The Re-Enter Life Project. It is my unique way of serving veterans and their families. These uplifting, interfaith programs of guided meditation, breathing, prayer, and mindfulness instruction, are containers for miracles to take place. I provide compassion and healing to those in need, in the form of the Divine Mother’s energy. These intuitive gifts provide comfort and invite grace to heal at many levels.

These activities are the feminine presence activated from within me, through the heart, with conscious intention and purposeful action.  It is an acceptance of my own unique gifts I bring to the world.  I’ve honored the gift and myself by dedicating its expression to the healing and the evolution of our planet.
