Type of Event: “Sat” means “Truth and “Sang” means a gathering of people in the Sanskrit language. This evening’s format includes a short prayer, a spiritual lesson, and instruction on breathing techniques that help manage stress and bring peace and calm to everyday life. Short discussion about how we can see the joy in life is encouraged. A Blessing for all attendees concludes the program. Event Description: This “sharing of truths” is for military personnel, their spouses, and significant others. The purpose of this gathering is to rekindle hope for a positive future and a peaceful inner and outer world, despite the past. We’ll discuss re-imagining ourselves and our life purpose through a guided meditation and practice a breathing technique that helps bring a calm focus to everyday life. Often, we are unable to move toward compassion and grace because of blocked emotional charges so a blessing by intention will be give to help you release suffering. Women, reservists, and those coming back from Iraq or veterans of the Gulf war are all welcome. Charlene will give you a hands-on Blessing to each individual. Please dress comfortably as you may want to lie down on the floor after the blessing to relax. All faiths welcome! Please bring prayer lists for Charlene to bless if you feel so moved. Email info@charleneproctor.com for more information. A free e-book called “Relax, Affirm and Awaken!” will be provided to all attendees. This book will summarize some of the spiritual terms used in the workshop. Special Instructions: We have some tear-drop bean bag chairs and also regular seating. Please bring a back jack if you want to sit on the floor and require different back support. Also, bring a blanket or a yoga mat to lie down on in Shavasan after the blessing. A head pillow is recommended! Wear comfortable clothing. Donations that evening will be made to a particular military family or Veterans group. Location: Charlene M.
